Peels are a chemo-exfoliation that uses acid solutions with a significantly lower pH than your skin. They are designed to enhance the removal of old and dead skin cells.
Chemical Peels are used to help with fine lines, wrinkles, acne, sun-damaged or aged skin, as well as scarring. Here at Alternative Therapy MD we use Glytone and the perfect dermapeel (only peel on the market with glutathione) which range in different acids that we customize to your skin needs.

The Science Behind
Chemical Peels
A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The PH in the solution is lower than the PH of your skin. There are different levels of peels varying in the depth of penetration: Those are to include surface, medium, and deep peels. Depending on skin goals these are customized by our nurses.
